There are some places that are so popular that everyone knows about them. I’m not just talking about famous places. I’m talking about places that have been promoted so heavily that even people who haven’t gone there are familiar with the location. For example, I’ve never been to Queen Creek Casino but I know the name. It’s basically the only thing I know about Queen Creek but I’d consider going there to check out the casino.

Knowing about these places is smart when you’re choosing the name of your business. That’s because if your business name is linked with one of these places then people are naturally going to find you more easily. For example, if you opened a self storage company in Queen Creek and named it Queen Creek Storage then there’s a good chance that I’d find you over the competition if I was looking for this service in Queen Creek. That’s because your name would be right there near the name of the casino I know so well.

Not all places are like this. If you live in Podunk and name your storage unit after it then the name probably won’t capture my attention. But if you live in an area with a name that’s become known for one reason or another then this is a wise way to go with naming your business.
