Not What the Boss Ordered

For the past couple of years, I have been working in a bedding store.  We carry a large variety of bedding for our clients, with many unique sets for our clients.  In fact, we are the bedding specialists in town, so we get a wide demographic of customers.

I have been working on the sales floor for about six months now and it has been great dealing with the public.  I really needed a break from working in the warehouse for over a year – sometimes you just need to hear the voice of another person.

But, working out front has come with its share of mishaps as well.  I have made errors in price quotes, had to deal with angry customers, and deal with the pressure from the boss to make our sales quotas.

This week, there was an error in the order that our store had placed and instead of ending up with some hockey bedding in time for the hockey season, we ended up with a pile of tropical bedding.  The boss was furious as we were going to miss out on one of the busiest times of the year.

But, I was able to save the day when I suggested that we could throw in some of the tropical sheets with every photo blanket order.  He seemed happy with the suggestion and we are going to try it out.

Hopefully, the rest of the week is uneventful.
