By karen in Careers | 0 comments
Have you ever been to a job fair where the booths of employers line an auditorium, row after row of recruiters? The maze of booths is dizzying to an already nervous job hunter. Whether the booths are organized in alphabetical order or by industry, it is difficult to distinguish which booth has been visited and where a resume has been deposited.
Various tools might assist the job seeker distinguish who they have seen. Recruiters can make a job fair booth stand out by adding colorful posters with branded symbols. Large posters can be designed using a corner rounder which cuts posters, plastics and other large materials. When an applicant hands in a resume, they should be given a handout with company information detailed, what positions are open and how the job application process proceeds after the job fair. Companies can make handouts quickly using colored paper, a printer and a stack cutter. Customize the handout with company logos and make it relevant to the recruiting event attended. Bring a papercutter to the recruiting event to make handouts on the go.
Recruiters must distinguish themselves at job fairs so applicants are attracted to their booth and leave a lasting impression. Be an employer of choice beginning with the first introduction at a job fair.
