I had no idea that the surface of a shuffleboard table needed to be maintained similar to the surface of a bowling alley.  No idea!  I guess I just thought it would hold up the way that an air hockey table does.  Or am I completely ignorant and the air hockey table also needs to be waxed?  I really have no idea because all we’ve ever done was play the game.

Getting a shuffleboard maintenance guide is probably my best bet.  I don’t really care if I maintain professional quality with the game or with the surface.  We just want to have fun.  But I bought this table without really knowing anything about its care.  I just bought it off of craigslist, so maybe it’s already kind of screwed up and I never even knew it.  But it looked okay to me. Sure shows me!

I guess I shouldn’t advise anyone to do what I did-also, you know, craigslist can be kind of dangerous.  I’ve had luck selling stuff by meeting them at the back of the Wal-Mart parking lot, but that stuff was just baby toys.  I guess was sort of an idiot for buying this way.
