Snow Angels

Winter is my favorite time of year. With the excitement of the holidays and the celebrations of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years occurring during winter, it is a time of great joy and merriment. Nothing is merrier than waiting for the first snow fall of the year. I enjoy watching snow falling on empty streets, cup of warm coca in hand and eagerly await the kids asking, “Can we go out and play in the snow yet?” My children are Winter Kids and enjoy the cold weather just as much as I do.
The kids took snowboarding lessons last year so they bundle up in their kids snowboard jackets and childrens ski clothes pad off to grab their sleds. After making tracks in the fresh snow, they begin packing up snowballs and firing them off to friends passing by. A snowman gets built and dons gloves and hats just like the kids. My husband and I watch the kids from the warmth of the kitchen as they get red checked and windblown. They are having such a great time playing in the snow and we grab the camera in time to catch them making snow angels. Watching my angels in the snow confirms that winter is definitely my favorite time of year.
