Vacations are important childhood memories, and so family vacations while your kids are growing up should be planned carefully.  For instance, I will always remember playing on the beach in Florida when I was a kid, simply because it was so unlike anything I had ever done before — and anything I’ve done since.

I highly recommend Florida for family vacations.  Not only is the beach a wonderful thing for children to experience — not to mention a rarity for them, unless they live in a coastal area — but Disney World is also in Florida, and we all know how every kid wants to go to Disney World.

Another tip I have for family vacations in Florida is to book an Orlando villa, rather than staying at a hotel.  Hotels are rather impersonal and just can’t give the same experience as staying in a Florida villa, which is more like having a second home in Florida for a week, or however long you decide to stay.  The privacy and home-like atmosphere just can’t be beat by any hotel!  Furthermore, it’s easy to book villas in Orlando — you just go online and book them through the management company’s website, just like you would with any hotel room.
