Our house was built in the 1980′s and we purchased it about fifteen years ago.  At that time the fixtures were starting to be out of date but they were still acceptable.  After a while they just start becoming part of your scenery and you start to forget out outdated things are.  In particular, the cabinetry throughout the house is really outdated.  I had wanted to replace them for some time but our finances never allowed for that kind of expense. 

Now that we have some equity in our home we are considering one of the mortgage loans that can get us some additional funds to make some repairs and replace some of the old fixtures.  However, with the drop in the housing market I wasn’t sure if we should get a personal loan instead.  I found a great site that gave us more information about both types of loans so we could make the best decision.

After finding it was in our best interest to get a personal loan, I ordered some beautiful cabinets for our home and we cannot wait for them to arrive.  Getting new cabinets is going to make it feel like a whole new house.
