I had been paying for individual Florida health insurance and was looking for a way to reduce my costs.  A friend had mentioned to me that I should consider looking at a Florida health savings account or HSA to reduce some of my costs.  To be honest, I had never really looked into an HSA and I didn’t know much about it so I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea or not.

I did some research and discovered that choosing a Florida HSA can indeed reduce the cost of the health insurance Florida offers.  Although, the reduced premium is a result of a higher deductible, (which is previously agreed upon) it achieves the lower overall premium I am looking for.  I wasn’t quite sure I understood the policy options so I contacted a Ft Lauderdale health insurance broker online who offered a great deal of clarification and I had an opportunity to acquire related quotes with participating companies.

Now I feel I can comfortably enter into a Florida health savings account and understand what risks I am agreeing to.  Health insurance can be expensive and it’s important that the consumer is careful to understand all of the options available to them.
