Choosing a Good Wedding Venue
By KV in General | 0 comments
Your wedding venue is possibly one of the most important aspects of planning your wedding. A poor venue can really change how satisfied you are with your wedding, not to mention how enjoyable the event is for your guests.
Here are some tips for choosing a good wedding venue.
- Can they accommodate all of your guests? One of the first questions you should be asking when you talk to a representative at a venue, is how many people the venue can accommodate. Make sure not only that the venue is large enough for your wedding, but also that it’s not too large — renting a large venue for 30 or 40 people will not only be expensive, but it will also emphasize the small size of your wedding.
- Make sure the venue has what you want. For instance, if you’ve always wanted an outdoor wedding in Michigan, make sure that you are looking at venues that can accommodate your preferences — for instance, Michigan wedding gardens.
- Look for a venue that suits your theme. For instance, if you are planning a castle wedding theme, you should probably look for something in keeping with that theme.
- Give preference to venues that are willing to be flexible. Venues that are willing to go out of their way to accommodate you should always be considered more strongly than other venues.
In general, go with your gut feelings when choosing a venue. Sometimes you will know right away that a venue, or the people who run it, are not for you. Trust that instinct! You will be glad you did later on.
