Scented jar candles make a cozy housewarming gift

So you’ve been invited to a friend’s housewarming party, and need to come up with a good housewarming gift.  But what to get them?

Housewarming gifts don’t have to be super insightful, just something thoughtful for the new home.  Here are a few great housewarming gift ideas.

• Jar candles – Candles make great gifts, because almost everyone likes them.  They are great for decorating, plus scented candles make the house smell really good!  Candles are also great around holidays.  I recommend Village Candles, a candle company that even offers earth-friendly soy  candles.
• Table linens.  Placemats, a nice set of linen napkins, and tablecloths are other really good housewarming gifts.  Everyone loves to have a nice set of table linens for entertaining or special occasions!
• A bottle of wine.  Of course, a standard gift for the host and hostess at a party is a bottle of wine, and a housewarming party should be no exception.  If they don’t decide to open your wine at the party, rest assured they will enjoy it together in their new home sometime very soon!

Remember, you don’t have to put a whole lot of thought into a nice housewarming gift.  The idea is simply to give something warm and friendly to help them settle into their new home!
