We’ve all received custom coozies from one place or another. Used as promotional items, these things are given away as regularly as stadium cups at baseball games. You don’t want to throw them out but you can’t use all of them either.

Here are some creative ways to recycle collapsible koozies so they don’t just end up in the trash:

• Use them as holders for things other than drinks. Coozies can hold pens and other office supplies either at home or at your business desk.
• Create a collage. If you have enough of them, cut them up and create a collage to remind you of all of the events that you’ve attended over the years.
• Give them to the kids. Children can find a way to turn anything into a toy if you give them half a chance.
• Use the fabric. Small clothing projects can be accessorized with the colorful fabric from an old koozie.
• Add them to the summer picnic basket. You might find that if you put them in a place like a picnic basket or a camping backpack, you could actually end up using them when the time is right.

Try to think outside of the box when it comes to re-using items like promotional koozies. With a little bit of creative thinking, you can easily recycle almost anything.
