Narrowing Down Your Shopping Options

I hate to shop. I know, I know. That’s not the way a girl is supposed to feel about shopping but it’s the way I feel nonetheless. And since I hate to shop, I’ve learned a lot of tricks that allow me to spend as little time shopping as possible. For example, I’ve learned that you can seriously reduce the amount of time you spend shopping if you narrow down what you’re looking for before you even leave the house.

For example, let’s say that you wanted to buy a dress. You would ask yourself what kind of dress you want. Determine what length and style you might be interested in. Select a color or two that would appeal to you for this dress. Consider your budget and decide on a price range for what you’re willing to spend on the dress. Ask yourself if there are brands or stores that you want to narrow your choice down to. When you head out to actually get the dress, you’ll know exactly what you’re looking for and you’ll be able to find it quickly.

The same process can be applied to making much bigger purchases than a dress. For example, if you wanted to look at florida new homes for sale, you could narrow down the process by choosing a location (custom homes in orlando vs. custom homes in panama city, for example). You could further decide in advance about the size of the home, the style of the home and the price range that you’re buying in. The actual shopping part will be fairly simple once you’ve made a lot of decisions in advance.
