Lower Back Tattoos and Other Placement Ideas

After one has chosen the design of the tattoo they want, the next decision is choosing where it will be displayed. Whether it is the arm, ankle or chest, there is no lack of places to display a tattoo on the body. Some individuals choose lower back tattoos while others get creative and choose the back of the neck. Placement can also be decided based on whether or not an individual wants the design to be easily seen. There are times when a tattoo is extremely personal to the wearer and the intent of the design is to serve as a sentimental reminder more than a declaration to the world at large.
Women tend to opt for flower, butterfly or fairy tattoos and will most commonly place them on the ankle, wrist or chest. Men are more likely to opt for tribal, skull and dragon tattoos placed on the back, upper shoulder, shoulder blade or chest. There are some places that propose difficulty for placing a tattoo, such as the foot and ankle. This is largely because there is little in the way of fatty tissue and much in the way of nerve endings. However, it is not entirely impossible to achieve putting a tattoo in these places.
