Honeymoon in Fiji

I’m getting married next spring. My fiancé Carl and I decided against a big wedding. We are planning to have a small church ceremony with just family and close friends. But there are still lots of details to attend to, like the reception, music, photographer, etc. I’m thankful we have a while to deal with all that.
Our parents got together and offered to send us on a Fiji honeymoon. That was a huge surprise. Carl and I had told them we would pay for most of our wedding expenses ourselves, so they said they’d be happy to foot the bill for our honeymoon! This way everyone is pleased – no question about it.
Carl and I are both very active people, so we are looking forward to doing some hiking, sightseeing, and even fishing for mahi mahi as part of our Fiji adventure. Carl’s parents have been to Fiji; they tell us there’s some spectacular scenery there. Neither of us have ever been to the tropics, so we don’t know quite what to expect. Originally, we were planning to honeymoon close to home, so this trip is something altogether different, much more exciting, and something I’m sure we will always remember.
